First Day of Summer!

It’s been Bike Week up here for the whole week. Thousands and thousands of bikers. It’s noisy. There’s lots more traffic. But, they’re needed by our tourist businesses and so, it’s good. They’ll all go home today & tomorrow and we’ll go back to being a sleepy little town for about a week or so. Then the rest of the vacationers will arrive to stay for July and August.

We did the tourist thing at the beginning of the month and spent a weekend in Ogunquit, Maine. It’s not that far from us and we stayed off the interstates getting there so we wound our way through New Hampshire and Maine on a beautiful Friday afternoon. After checking in, we made our way to The Marginal Way to do the walk. It was a gorgeous day to walk along the ocean and the flowers along the walk smelled delightful.  We’ve been there a couple of times but on Saturday, we found a sandy beach. It was beautiful and there were no rocks!

We were back over working at dad’s house yesterday. The hard part is since the house is being shown, we can’t leave anything out between our workdays. We usually spend a couple of hours there and then have to make sure the house is “showable” before leaving.

Soon to be – blueberries!

I’m enjoying a new computer – and found out how to do movies of photos. Yeah, I can hear some of you groaning now. In any case, click the YouTube link below to see some photos from 2006.

And Happy Father’s Day to all the dads!

    Showoff! 🙂
Those pictures are really neat; there were several really great shots I especially enjoyed. Looked like a great weekend, and it was nice to re-visit your dad on Father’s Day.

My mom has been trying to sell her house for over a year. She knows All about the “leaving it presentable.” :-/

Glad you got a weekend away. Enjoy the new computer and photo movies. 🙂

Great pictures as usual! I like your new ability with adding music to your movie!
We’re beginning to swelter here in Southeast VA.
We are also enjoying our new pool liner. The only time it’s cool enough for me is after the sun goes down & even then it’s been too hot several times!
Again, I always enjoy the pics!

I am so impressed with the “movie”…how did you do it? Really nice with the wipeout music too.
