If you don’t like the weather, just wait a minute

Beautiful weekend! A few days ago it was 50 something degrees. Before that, it was 86+ and sticky.

Then we had tornado watches (ummm, been there, done that – we lived in Kansas). Several towns in western Massachusetts actually had tornadoes. I think the weather is lost!

Last week the eldest son sent an email on Monday morning saying – “Went through Joplin about an hour after the storm.” The youngest son (there are only two of them) sent a text on Wednesday that said, “I’m okay. Everything’s alright.”  I had no clue so looked for info and read that a tornado was a couple of blocks from his work place.

We’ve been visiting NH since 1974, the year we were married. Loved not needing air conditioning. Not anymore. We moved here in 1998 and had AC put in the next summer.

So, some photos from May.

We met up with friends, Chuck & Betsy from Virginia, along with their friends, Bev & Bill. Spent a day in Portsmouth, NH and then lunch in Kennebunkport, ME.

Union Leader article about the building art in Portsmouth.

Happy June!

What fun! You have been a busy lady Colleen. My forsythia is OUTTA control… I just prunned the crap out of it. It is HUGE. And I wish you could see my lilacs. They are blooming right now. We have 3…they are gorgeous.

And…you have a TON of grass! xoxo

I don’t know when we have seen such ridiculous weather conditions Colleen….ALL of us. From one disaster after another…and I don’t think we’re done either. Right now we’re going through the hottest couple of days that we’ve ever had at this time…at least that’s what they’re saying….90’s and more. Then it’s suppose to drop pretty drastically in a couple of days with rain storms again. Mother Nature decided to pass on Spring for us midwesterners…and go straight into steamy Summer. The sad thing is….I haven’t ruled out more Winter weather either. Have a great week… ~Joy
